I urgently needed a passport-style up to date image to use for a personal ID and so I put out a casting call for a portrait shoot - which is not my usual genre. FIPArt responded and was kind enough to arrange a TFP shoot. I was nervous about portrait work because I don't really know how to model for this, but FIPArt was professional throughout and worked hard to put me at my ease. He really knows what he is doing and although his studio is bijoux, it is well equipped and he knows how to light his subject effectively.
The shoot was friendly and enjoyable and I would definitely work with FIPArt again - in fact I may have to because the deal was to arrange some portfolio stuff for himself during the shoot but I talked so much that we ran out of time! My bad!
A word of warning, though; FIPArt is experienced with working with models, and his professionalism extends to providing really nice biscuits, but they weren't Jaffa Cakes...
Also he does have an unfortunate disability; he seems unable to appreciate Star Trek and Doctor Who for some reason...
Dave is a terrific guy! Very easy going and I enjoyed the shoot.
Unfortunately, he's as chatty as I am, so we're scheduling a follow up to capture what was missed...
We got some great headshots/portraits he needed for professional use and we'll be looking to achieve something more akin to AF next time.
I recommend Dave of course and it'll be a blast to work together again!
