I have an idea for a method of adult photography using tech I've used in the past for conventional portrait shoots. It basically gives a model a change to see, on a high res monitor, exactly what the camera sees while you're posing - and then allows you to choose exactly when to take every shot.
There are several different ways of doing this but they all basically involves live-streaming image data from the camera sensor to an app on a tablet, smartphone or laptop - so you can see what the camera sees. These apps are usually designed to be used by photographers to control the camera remotely, but I think they can also be used to give models a "what you see is what you get" view of whatever the camera sees, while you're posing.
It wouldn't usually make sense for a model to use a tablet app to take photos as this would mean breaking your pose to tap the screen. Instead, my idea would be to use a small remote trigger that you either conceal in your hand or set to a few seconds delay and chuck out of shot. Or indeed, you give an instruction to the photographer, like "NOW!" when you can see that the pose is looking great. I'm pretty sure most photographers can handle that.
I think this approach could work at almost any level of adult work - but I think it's best to steer clear of higher GG or BG levels at least to begin with. Solo or soft duo work will be easier to manage! I'd like to plan a few "proof of concept" trials of this approach in the Autumn - from September to November.
My availability for shoots is quite limited at the moment. I'm a live-in carer for my elderly father, 91 years old, who has mid-stage Alzheimer's - and he takes quite a bit of looking after! Fortunately I've managed to sign up up with a brilliant local day care centre for ex-service people and he goes there twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
These are the days that I'm usually free to shoot, at least between about 10 am and 4 pm. Most of those days, from early September onwards, I'm free to book shoots. However, these small time windows don't allow me to travel far - so it really has to be either at my home or some location close by.
Let me know if you're interested - and let's start making plans!
