House Of Damask

House Of Damask is a fully-equipped photography location, studio, and dungeon for hire just a few miles away from Edinburgh.

The studio is composed of 6 spaces fully furnished in a tasteful style, which may be Victorian, Rococo, decadent, Baroque, or Gothic.

House Of Damask offers the following setups to photographers, videographers, and models:

- the Livingroom. It is a spaceful Victorian Rococo room with dark damask wallpaper and an over-the-top Victorian Rococo 3-seat sofa + armchair. The Livingroom can also be used for standard setups with paper backgrounds or backdrops.

- the Dungeon. Surrounded by rich curtains and goldy ornaments, this room hosts tools and devices of pleasure, such as iron masks, crops, canes, floggers, paddles, chains, and restraining devices including St Andrew cross, pillory, spanking bench, and cage.

- the Library. It is an amazing fully furnished Edwardian-style room. Leather-top desk, captain chairs, velvet caiselongue, long case pendulum clock, Persian rugs, damask curtains. Possible setups and ideas are just endless.

- the Louis XV Bedroom. In this room, you'll find a rare antique furniture set in Louis XV style made of a bed, wardrobe, side beds, dresser, and chest of drawers. Extremely elegant and rich, this lightful room is ideal for a tasteful boudoir and erotic photography.

- the Halloway. This space has been entirely decorated with gold damask wallpaper, covin, trims, and handrail, paired with a dark red carpet for impactful perspectives and challenging wide angles.

- the Four-Poster Bed. The bedroom hosts an impressive Victorian-style inlaid mahogany king-sized four-poster bed and has black and gold damask wallpaper, and opulent heavy embroidery gold curtains with pelmet. The four-poster bed is also matched with mahogany bedsides and a wardrobe.

- Dressing Room. The studio has a 5x3m dressing room with clothing rails, a mirror, etc.

Studio Rates

House Of Damask can be hired at £30 ph with a minimum booking of 2 hours.

The Dungeon can be rented separately at £40 ph.

Photoshop Retouching/Editing service is available. Basic retouch £5 per image (crop, exposure, saturation, etc.), Advanced retouch £10 per image (Basic + skin retouch, colour toning), High-End Glamour £15 per image (Basic + Advanced + frequency separation, manipulation, composition, curves, etc.).

For Models. Are you looking for a great set with that 'WOW' factor to boost your portfolio? For your subscription website?Or just for your memories? Get in touch to discuss your shoot!

For Photographers. We run Workshops 1:2:1 as well as group shoots. Also retouching tuitions in Photoshop are offered for beginners, intermediate, and high-end glamour retouching. Workshops start from £25ph and are organised throughout the whole year during weekends or workweek evening sessions. Get in touch for more info!

Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions apply at all times at the premises.

- The hirer accepts liability for breakages and any damages during the hire. The studio offers no liability for negligence on the part of the hirer.
- All furniture is genuine antiques, therefor photographers and models cannot move them without assistance from the Studio.
- Food and drinks are not allowed on the sets. We have a dedicated area for this.
- Shoe heels are not allowed over furniture, sofas, and armchairs to avoid damage unless supervised by the Studio's assistant.
- Any damage to furniture, equipment, accessories, props, etc will be charged at the market rate of a new replacement.
- We do not apply limits to levels. However, we require being informed prior to the shoot about the levels and models participating. - We do not offer bed sheets for levels above lingeries - please bring your own.
- Studio rates are for 1-1 (one photographer, one model) photoshoots. Please inquire about videoing and shooting with multiple models/photographers.
- No refunds or credits for cancellations at less than 72 hrs. notice. For more than 72 hrs. notice full credit will be given for a future booking.
