I am a rope artist, educator, and performer specialising in both Japanese Shibari and Western bondage techniques. My work blends technical precision with creativity, connection, and fun. Over the years, I have developed a style that is expressive, collaborative, and grounded in safety, communication, and thoughtful design.
My performance experience includes tying at Anatomie Studio, the Sexual Freedom Awards, and a gallery?based theatre production where rope became part of the visual and narrative language of the show. I have also worked as a rigger for photoshoots with Dark Angel Photos and contributed to marketing imagery for Anatomie Studio, helping to shape striking visual concepts through rope. I am also the house rigger at Club Noir and The House Of Rua.
Teaching is a core part of my practice. I have taught classes at events, clubs, and private sessions, offering guidance to beginners and experienced practitioners alike. My teaching focuses on fundamentals, body mechanics, creative problem?solving, and developing a personal style. I aim to create learning environments that are welcoming, supportive, humorous and grounded in curiosity.
I have been part of the kink community since 1993, and my journey with Shibari began in 2013. After an initial two?year introduction, I returned to rope with renewed dedication following the pandemic. Since then, I have studied with a wide range of teachers across different schools and styles, allowing me to build a broad and adaptable approach. For the past two years, I have been actively teaching, performing, and refining my craft.
As a rope top, I am drawn to the connection that rope can create—whether emotional, aesthetic, or purely structural. I particularly enjoy floor?work, partial suspensions, predicament?inspired structures, and suspension?style techniques that emphasise form, flow, and interaction. My work often explores contrast: tension and release, stillness and movement, structure and improvisation.
I am comfortable working with people of all genders, body types, and levels of experience. Collaboration is one of my favourite aspects of rope, and I especially enjoy working with models, photographers, and artists who want to bring a concept to life. Whether the goal is a dramatic visual, a subtle emotional tone, or an experimental idea, I aim to contribute technical skill, creative input, and a touch of playful problem?solving.
Ultimately, rope for me is a craft, a language, and a shared experience. I am always excited to meet new collaborators, explore new ideas, and continue growing within this art form.
