Photographe amateur (né dans les années 60, donc largement plus de 18 ou 21 ans... ?), je suis basé dans l'Est de la France et je m'intéresse UNIQUEMENT au nu masculin.
Mon protocole de shooting est le suivant : le modèle se déshabille entièrement dès le début. Ainsi, tout ce qui doit être montré est montré et on n’en parle plus.
Mais je commence par faire des portraits, même si le modèle est nu. Cela lui permet de s’habituer à sa nudité par rapport au fait que je suis habillé. Cela permet également à la peau de se retendre au niveau des élastiques des sous-vêtements. Ensuite seulement, j’élargis le champ des photos pour immortaliser tout son corps.
Pourquoi demander au modèle de se déshabiller immédiatement ? D’une part, un déshabillage progressif peut être intimidant, surtout pour les modèles novices. Ici, on se jette à l’eau et on nage ! D’autre part, le corps nu révèle sa vérité, y compris dans les portraits.
Après le shooting, je fais une sélection d'environ 10 à 20 % des clichés (je prends beaucoup de photos pendant le shooting, grâce au numérique !). Ensuite, je retouche les photos (j'assume le fait qu'aucune de mes photos n'est brute… elles sont a minima recadrées). Je les renvoie ensuite au modèle pour son usage personnel, sans restrictions. Je ne les diffuse pas sans son accord, selon des conditions à définir, y compris pour les publier ici ou sur Flickr.
J'échange le temps de pose contre les photos (en clair, je ne me fais pas payer et donc je ne paye pas !).

I'm an amateur photographer (born in the 60s, so well over 18 or 21...). I'm based in eastern France and I'm ONLY interested in male nudes.

Here's what I do: the model takes off all their clothes right from the start. This way, we can show everything and not have to keep talking about it.

I usually start out doing portraits, even if the model is nude. This helps her get used to seeing me naked, which is different from how she's used to seeing me dressed. It also helps the skin tighten around the elastic of the underwear. I only then decide to take more photos to get a better shot of her whole body.

Why do you ask the model to undress immediately? On the one hand, the idea of gradually taking off clothes can be intimidating, especially for models who are just starting out. Here, we jump right in and go for it! On the other hand, the naked body reveals its truth, including in portraits.

After the shoot, I pick about 10-20% of the shots (I take a lot of photos during the shoot, thanks to digital!). Then I retouch the photos (I assume that none of my photos are raw... they're minimally cropped). Then I send them back to the model for her personal, unrestricted use. I won't distribute them without her okay, and the details are to be figured out, including for publication here or on Flickr.

I swap the posing time for the photos (meaning, I don't get paid, so I don't pay!).
