Far Forest Studio

I had my first studio day at the far forest studio. The owner Mark helped me find the studio in the dark, as I arrived late at night. He kindly hosted me before and after my model day, where the heating was great. It was great fun working inside the studio and outside in the nature land he owns. There was refreshments to have and a radio to listen to. There was different furniture to use and different backdrops. He was nearby if any trouble arouse. I brought lots of outfits, lingerie and shoes with me, that all fit in the bathroom where the changing room was located. He had a props cupboard full of stuff too. I highly recommend this studio that he and his wife take great care of.

My first shoot using Far Forest Studio and i can wholeheartedly endorse this great venue. Aside from having a well equipped studio with changing room / make up dressing table for the model and kitchenette with tea and coffee facilities (plus chocolate biscuits), the space has backdrops, use of still lighting with remote triggers and an array of props / chairs etc. That said, the outside space and grounds are the highlight with a mock graveyard set, small lake, summer house and extensive private woodlands. Mark the host is exceptionally helpful too. I will be back!

On Saturday, January 27th 2024 I had my first shoot at Far Forest Studio. Having been one of the studios I have wanted to work at for a while, it didn't disappoint. The owner Mark was helpful throughout the shoot, suggesting ideas for lighting and offering a helping hand throughout. The indoor space is impressive, with plenty of furniture, backdrop and lighting choices to choose from. However, the outdoors is particularly impressive, with several outdoor ideas we tried. I liked my time at Far Forest Studios, and I would hope to work there again in the future.

Had my first shoot here yesterday and loved it, the studio is beautiful and has so many props and backgrounds as well as furniture to use in shots that I enjoyed so much, it also has beautiful grounds to shoot on as well which I am excited to hopefully get some shots in next time and Mark himself is very nice and keeps it all in beautiful shape, can't wait to shoot there again, probably my favourite location/studio I have shot at :)

Second time at this wonderful studio but this time for photos with the man himself, Mark the studio owner.
He made me feel welcome & at ease, we had great pre-comms via messages and calls. We both had ideas and he was happy to work with both. Mark also has many accessories available to use at the studio plus great facilities.
Marks photography though is out of this world. We did a set of bodyscapes and they are truly amazing. Love them!
Can’t wait to go back again :)

I have been to the far forest studio several times now and all I can say is WOW is a model and photographers dream with use of an incredible indoor studio a forest waterfall and graveyard . On this occasion I was lucky enough to shoot with Mark who owns this slice of heaven and again WOW mark is truly an incredible photographer the images he captured are mind blowing and some of my favourite ever. Mark is extremely professional made me feel comfortable at all times we had a great laugh too . I can highly recommend Mark and the far forest studio and I can’t wait to work there and with mark again

Finally made it to FarForest Studio! With all the fine sunny weather we’d been having, I had still managed to twice pick in advance days when the weather was not suitable for the commission I had for outdoor content. Mark was totally understanding when I had to postpone on the day before (twice) and was even giving me weather reports on the morning I finally decided that the slight risk of rain was worth chancing.

Mark was the perfect studio host, welcoming and making sure we had milk for teas and coffees and that both I and my models knew exactly where everything was.

And what a good location it is. Even though I didn’t use the indoor studio, I’ve got to mention it. It is deceptively spacious, with high ceilings, a great array of props and its own little kitchen area too. For models there is, a lovely big and private changing room with sink, WC and shower.

Outside it was just what I needed to the material I had to produce with the glamorous assistance of the lovely RedRoseTemptress and RealRachel. It was a very hot and humid day so we used only two of the potential shoot locations outdoors, and it will be nice to go back again for a longer outdoor shoot when it’s not so humid and to also make use of the indoor studio.

My only grumble. I wish it closer to home!

I have worked with various models over the past few years at Far Forest Studio, the last being on the 17th Dec 20. It is a wonderful location with a good size, well equipped studio that has lots of props but its best feature is the woodland that surrounds the studio. It has a great waterfall, a graveyard set and lots of trees and bushes to create wonderful images in. In the spring the grassed area is covered with bluebells.

Mark is a fantastic host, tea, coffee, biscuits and sweets always available and generally the first question before 'What lights do you need?' is 'Do you want a drink?'. Mark is a great photographer himself and will help the photographers with as much or as little help as they need.

He has also ensured that the studio meets the guidelines to shoot under COVID regulations and both the model and I felt totally safe whilst doing the shoot.

Very highly recommended and I look forward to another shoot, rules allowing, as soon as I can.

I’ve worked at Far Forest Studio a great many times so there must be a reason for keep returning? The facilities are great, there’s a private wood, waterfall and of course a great studio. The facilities for your model are also first-class there’s even a shower, very useful after the waterfall.

Being a rural location, parking is no problem. Mark is a terrific host and nothing is too much trouble. What more could you ask for?
