Photoshoot between Pentamon and Oaklands Studios

I've been hoping to shoot at Oaklands since they opened and I am pleased that I have finally been able to pay my first visit there. It's my favourite environment to shoot in - a large mansion with a vintage feel, lots of different rooms, cellars, outside sets and private gardens. I have to say that when I arrived it exceeded my expectations and I knew that this is somewhere I would like to come back to whenever I can.

I only had three hours this time and I barely scratched the surface of what I could achieve there. Now that I have seen it in person I will be better able to plan my next visit. It's also very well equipped with lighting, props and accessories.

Pre-shoot comms were excellent and arranging everything was straightforward. Neil was a fantastic host, looked after us really well and helped everything run smoothly.

I would absolutely recommend Oaklands and just wish it was nearer home for me.

Pentamon came to the studio yesterday, he asked if it would be possible to arrive early to have a look around before his time started, which as we were free we were happy to do. This way he would have chance to help plan out the shoot for when the models arrived.

He had tried to book the studio a while ago but unfortunately plans fell though, but he was always upfront and coms have always been clear and professional. When he contacted for this booking everything went smoothly. He is clearly passionate about his work and came prepared with more than he might use just incase. Once I had given him a tour round I checked if there were specific sets he wanted to use and any lighting we have here. With his kit he requested just one of our flash lights to use and I set it up for him.

I would be more than happy to recommend him for people to work with, and hope to see him again in the near future.
