This was, by my count, my 60th modelling shoot. Of those 60, just a fraction stand in memory as having exceeded my top expectations. I shoot a form of video which lets me interact, in limited ways, with some ridiculously lovely girls. The beauty of the form is that, when I edit - many days of work - I get to be a voyeur of my collaborator’s personality.
Darcy Rosa is so much more than a just pretty model. She’s the fraction who lodges in the memory as beyond expectation. She’s what Pinocchio (if by chance he’d been a girl) always wanted to be: the polar opposite of wooden. Darcy is a REAL girl. She moves, she reacts, she experiences, freely. She’s brim to overflowing with personality. My impression of Darcy is of someone who is strong, surprising, brave, kind, quirky, energetic and, just now and then, hard to catch in your hand. She’s someone I really hope to work with again - and, lovely girl, as you know, not just when you’re in modelling mode.
Though on that score, one of my cameras - the one that has never had a problem till now - did fail through part of one most important scene - meaning, I was gutted to realise, but thrilled to anticipate, that we may, if you'd be willing, just have to do it over again. Not all was lost from this take though. The last minutes of the scene (you told me when the glitching camera switched off) are safely logged and loaded. And your reactions are spectacular!
One final point, for which I beg patience. I don’t get togs who leave negative feedback. We’d booked to shoot before, but it had not come off, due to circumstances out of Darcy’s control. If I’d blurghed out my down-mouth as a nose-up slap-down, I might never have worked with this firecracker human. So be patient. Be a mensch. This paricular girl is is so worth the wait!
