Had a fantastic shoot with Cy. He’s an artist, and his shooting technique is highly specialised, utilising long exposure and moving light sources. It requires holding a (comfortable) position for 20 seconds or so, and trying to move as little as possible. It was great experience to become part of someone else’s artistic process.
He was friendly and patient while I was peppering him with questions and was kind enough to show me some of his work, and talk about it. He works efficiently and calmly and creates a relaxing environment, with no stress or unrealistic expectations. Overall a brilliant experience!
