Reference for PrettyB
Had another great shoot with Pretty B yesterday. Comms were all good. I had a lot of things to specify (travel, location information, outfits and so on) but she was fine with all of this.
On the day, we used two of the outdoor locations I had planned and fortunately the weather was dry, sunny though somewhat windy. The first location I had planned was a visit to a preserved railway line but I wasn’t sure how much scope there would be for shooting there. But we then found we could walk through some of the storage sidings too, with lots of old rolling stock and locos. This gave us excellent backdrops for lingerie shots with a reasonable amount of privacy.
The second location was a rather ‘secret’ overgrown disused quarry which had plenty of privacy for changing and for nude shots. This required some easy open countryside walking across gentle moorland to get to, and Pretty B was well-prepared, with suitable footwear and having packed her outfits in a rucksack and bag.
Pretty B had to travel from home to these locations, initially by train, in clothes suitable for travelling, as well as for shooting in when she got to our first location. This was because I wasn’t sure whether there would be enough privacy to change and pose there. But she was excellently prepared for this, and very easy-going about the uncertainties throughout the day's shoot. In fact her whole approach to this shoot made it work out very well, and easy, and she also enjoyed it as a grand day out!
I congratulate Pretty B for being so well-prepared and so easy-going about the prior uncertainties of this shoot, and she is also fun to work with on location. I not only recommend her as a great model for shoots generally, but also because she likes, and is well-suited to location work.

Reference for Oaklands Studios
This was my first shoot at Oaklands, a kind of reborn JDL Studios which I had previously used and enjoyed shooting at. So when I understood that Oaklands was the 'new JDL' I booked it for a first shoot with PrettyB.

Neil met us at Wakefield train station and drove us to Oaklands (and back). He was very helpful throughout, carefully taking us all round the house, outbuildings and sets, and explained everything including the family history of the house, the lighting equipment and its possibilities.

The house consists of lovely period Victorian (mostly) decor and furnishings, including a genuine family library and a fine red-carpeted staircase. The big windows provide good natural light. There's a great workshop set, a hospital set, and a lovely garden with a view. In fact most of the 'sets' are actually a series of period rooms, more or less as they were once lived in.

For the shoot, we had a free run of it all apart from the private quarters of course. In fact from my own point of view, there was so much scope, we couldn't use all of it in the time we had, so we both agreed we'd love to come back.

I totally recommend Oaklands especially for anyone looking for a period look for their shoot. However, this studio is 'work in progress' and Neil has great plans especially for the outbuildings and garden area, so watch this space!

This was a first time shoot with PrettyB and a first time at Oaklands Studio (= the 'new JDL Studios'). Comms were good and we met as arranged at Wakefield Westgate station for Neil's lift to Oaklands.

Pretty B brought plenty of clothes to choose from, following various suggestions I had made. She brought some nice lingerie and sexy outer clothes. We had agreed a level up to OL and she is very relaxed and easy to work with, nice and matter-of-fact, and happy to go with ideas as we went along. We both responded well to the great sets at Oaklands, and we enjoyed lots of fun chit-chat as we went along. Pretty B is very adaptable and despite the cold weather, we even managed a quick dash between showers, to do a few nude shots in the garden. She evidently likes working outdoors as well as indoors and we both hope to use Oaklands, inside and outdoors, another time. I recommend Pretty B.

Reference for Kitana
My first shoot with Kitana. Her comms beforehand were clear and straightforward and it was easy to arrange the shoot, thanks also to our host (Paul of LA Studio). She is a lively and positive person, and was very friendly, chatty and welcoming as if we had known each other from before. She made the shoot go well and was keen to try out everything we had discussed beforehand. She is very practical, well organized with her outfits and props, and she poses quickly and decisively but was also keen to check what I wanted to suggest myself, and was adaptable for that. She is very easy and straightforward about more intimate shots. She liked to check samples of the photos as we went along (which I like to do too) so that made me confident that I was doing shots she liked, while I was glad to know when there were other shots she wasn't so keen on. We had to work quite quickly because we were timed between other shoots on her schedule but that worked out fine without problems. Recommended.

I had my first ever shoot with a professional model (Emma) yesterday at her AirBnB and was so pleased that she’d rescued me from pro-modelling oblivion, as I had been trying for a long time on various model sites to find the ‘right’ model. She was easy and clear with all the pre-shoot comms so the entire arrangement went well.

Emma has striking and natural good looks, and was totally easy and straightforward during the shoot. I had previously sent some ideas about clothes and poses, but during the shoot she added fun suggestions of her own, to make it a real joint effort. At the start, we had a nice rummage through her stock of clothing and I was extra thrilled when she (?telepathically!) produced a neat little flared red dress and matching shoes - something I’ve always imagined for a shoot but hadn’t mentioned to her beforehand!

We were rather tight for time, and the available space was a bit challenging, too, but we kept things simple and spontaneous with minimum techy faff, and Emma still had no problem producing lots of great poses in quick succession. She was also totally at ease going up to her maximum (OL) level. Emma made this an exciting and successful first-time experience (and by coincidence a birthday-week treat!) for me, and I recommend her as a model without hesitation. I look forward to shooting with her again, reasonably soon.
